Do TALO guns hold their value?

Sunday, November 5th, 2006

I’d like to hear from collectors who have purchased a TALO special edition that they enjoy. I am interested to learn of situations where TALO guns have held their value or appreciated. Our goal is to give collectors their money’s worth. We keep the edition size low and consentrate on quality and classic designs. Send an email to talo@rcn.com .  I answer 10-15 emails a day looking for sold-out TALO editions. Guns like the first Race Rifle, USA Shooting Team 1022, The Colt Dragon, Walther Royal Oaks and others have a good following. I hope that this translates into a good store for a collector’s money. In the end, it’s not about investing but there is a reason that rare coins or classic cars, for example, hold their value or appreciate.

New S&W’s including one inspired by Leonardo

Wednesday, November 1st, 2006

Three new TALO S&W J frames shipped this month, a 340SS (Scandium frame SS cylinder) & 360SS same config. They are light, and reduced in price significantly from the standard.

One of 500 Unfluted Cylinder 2″ Model 60’s shipped at month-end. Special serial numbers LDV001-LDV500. The revolver was inspired by the Da Vinci Code Movie (the serial number celebrates Leonardo Da Vinci, hense LDV) Ol’ Leonardo was actually quite a gunny, he had some early designs for guns, tanks, submarines. So whatever you think about the movie, there is a scene towards the end that if you were still awake, you saw one of the heros or bad guys holding an unfluted Model 60 to one of the heros or bad guys heads. It was quite prominent in the shot and very menacing. Someone at TALO saw it and thought that an unfluted model had not been made in years so we made it, with special serial numbers. It looks pretty interesting. Word has it that it is selling. Shipping 10/30/06

More good stuff scheduled…
