Post SHOT Show review
Thursday, January 25th, 2007Time flys when you are having fun. The SHOT show was a very positive event for the industry and for TALO. Many dealers commented on TALO special editions to the wholesalers who exhibited there; Lew Horton, Davidson, Camfour, Lipsey’s and Valor. We showed a prototype version of a John Wayne Vaquero, a limited edition licensed from the Wayne family for the 100th Anniversary of his birth. The gun has gone through a few changes since and we should be ready to show it soon. We showed the new version of the USA Shooting Team 1022. Ruger presented the shooting team a check for $150,000. We were all pretty happy about that. The dealers liked our Ruger Phoenix P345, One of 500. They especially liked a prototype 1022 Classic, staight stocked 1022 standard rifle with some very interesting checkering. That rifle should show up in a month or so,priced right. We also showed our fancy Kimber Diamond Grade .45. (one of 450) It was very well recieved. The first 70 or so of these guns will ship this week.
Our Colt Diamond Grade .45 has also sold well.
Ruger tells us that the stock folks have promised delivery on the adjustable stock target 1022 this month. The production problems which delayed shipment have been solved.
We’ll keep plugging along. Let us know how we can improve.
