Ruger Model 77 Lightweight Deluxe in .308 with Circassian Walnut
Saturday, November 24th, 2007We found 200 very nice Circassian Walnut stocks for the M77 lightweight rifle at the Ruger factory some time ago. We told them to build the gun in .308. To the best of our knowledge these are the only ones that will be made like this. I believe they were the result of some kind of purchasing mistake mad some time ago.
They will have the above label on the box. This rifle also has the deep blue polished action so that the combination will be quite attractive. The stocks are nicely figured and very expensive if you were to go out and try to buy them today. We bought them at a very reasonable upcharge.Should be a practical & beautiful (rare) addition to their collection. The rifles should ship to TALO-Ruger wholesalers in the next 3 weeks, part # 17964. Readers who wade through this blog will have a head start if they ask their dealers to place an order for one. Davidson, Camfour, Bill Hicks and Lipsey’s are getting most of them. 200 units are tough to split up fairly.
Happy Thanksgiving to the TALO community of dealers and collectors. TALO has plenty to be thankful for.
