FEGA 2026 Auction

Our friends at Firearms Engravers Guild of America are auctioning off a highly hand engraved piece to support their organization. This year's auction gun for FEGA (Firearms Engravers Guild of America) is one, as new condition 1911 purchased from the estate of Michael Wayne, see Colt factory letter, then engraved by a collaboration of FEGA Master Engravers over the last year. This year's project was themed "Theater Commanders of WWII" The images of three distinguished 5-star military Commanders are hand engraved in this composition.
They are:
General Dwight Eisenhower: Supreme Commander of Expeditionary Forces in Europe, depicted on the top of the slide surmounting an M26 Pershing tank.
Admiral Chester Nimitz: Commander in Chief, US Pacific Fleet. Depicted on right side of slide overlooking a submarine emerging from the waves.
General Douglas MacArthur: Supreme Commander, Allied Forces Southeast Pacific depicted on the left slide panel with several American soldiers unloading out of a Higgins boat, number PA2107.
The remainder of the Colt is engraved in Classic American scroll and framed by 24K gold inlaid borders. The grips are Mother of Pearl with 24K gold 5-star arrays designating the highest possible military rank of WWII.
The Colt is presented in a form fitted case made of Rosewood and Hickory with a 5-star array inlaid into the lid. The inside of the lid is laser photo engraved with an image of the Rampant Colt and the names of the engravers who created this work of art. Inset into the blue field in the interior of the case is a hand engraved brass master plate describing the project and is among the photos accompanying this auction.
All original factory documentation, manual, test target and other loose paperwork is included in this reserve auction.
