The Colt 1911 JAL Dark Horse Edition is a Classic 1911 in 38 Super with incredible visual and functional enhancements. The first TALO project in 38 Super to include Pete Single’s craftsmanship which includes 25 LPI checkering on the frame, a 360-degree beveled magwell, 30 LPI serration following the top contour of the slide, ending in an arrow pattern at the front sight, a precision recessed target crown on the barrel, and a traditional high cut front strap that gracefully blends with the bottom of the trigger guard to facilitate a high grip without cutting high into the trigger guard.
In addition, this model includes stylized vintage rollmarks, highly polished slide flats and hardware which makes this two-tone model quite attractive. The slide and parts have undergone a high-phosphorus electroless nickel finishing process that provides a striking appearance as well as corrosion resistance. Custom gray laminate grips with a black nickel rampant colt finish off this model.
This TALO exclusive will be 1 of 500 limited editions with special JAL serial numbers. Production began February of 2023.
