The unique serial numbered model 1895 .45-70 Stainless lever action rifle is an Ulrich inspired engraving from patterns produced by Marlin in the late 1890’s. It features majestic and highly ornamental whitetails on one side of the receiver and the Marin mounted cowboy logo on the other.
Due to the high demand for Marlin lever actions, our 1895 will be one of the few special editions issued by the factory in 2007. Conrad Ulrich, a student of Colt’s famous engraver Gustave Young, together with his brothers, John and Herman Ulrich lived and worked in New Haven in 1869. Beginning at Winchester they moved to Marlin and produced some of the finest engraving artistry for them until 1919 when the last member of this talented family retired.
